Still have to seal and caulk, but looking good so far.

They look great!

Yeah, but that's not what it says.

I love those windows. I would kill to replace mine with those. Did you do it all yourself?

Caulk.

Hell no! This job is way above my skill level. I've got a company doing all the work. And paying for it.

Oh my god...it says Shatner, doesn't it? You're William Shatner!

They do. I'm really pleased with them. Only the front windows have those dividers. The rest are plain glass. It's cheaper that way!

Also could be Shoffer, not really sure, they do look nice with the stone though.

Most people probably only see the front windows anyway. Save a buck wherever we can!

We thought about going with an off-white, to better match the siding. But the white matches the windowsills on the inside nicely, and I live on the inside.

I had off white ones but they just seem to almost always look dirty since they are not white like everyone else.
I also live on the inside of my house, except when I spend hours in the garage.

Well, that's still technically inside.

But its so cold in there!

Come to TX. It's 100 degrees in my garage.

Nooo, I'll melt, I like some cold, not all the cold though.

I could use some cold right now. And some rain.

Just curious then, what is your per window cost looking like. With install? I'm just curious.

Since this is a demo house, I'm bound contractually not to say. The salesman claimed to be offering half off installed price. If you were to look up the MSRP of Anderson or Pella replacement windows, that might give you an idea.

Much appreciated! I can understand. Demo house, like, people will be walking all up in your business?
![]() 09/02/2014 at 15:23 |

Maybe. Our house is at a T intersection right as you enter the neighborhood. We have to keep a sign in our yard for 60 days. And write a glowing recommendation for the company. No complaints yet. The crew has been excellent. They should be done soon.

So is it new construction? Or is it just Demo for the windows? Forgive my stupidity if it's easier than I'm making it.

Custom replacement windows. We got a deal from the window company to make our house a demonstration house. They measured then had the windows built at the factory in OH based on the measurements. It's better than trying to find pre-built windows to fit. Nothing in my house is standard. I had to replace the AC grates in the house, and they are a non-standard size. The ones that fit were $50 each.

I had a similar experience with my toilet. And, well, all the plumbing. It's insane. Old house here and I love it a lot but it's a constant struggle!
